When I first moved to Corpus in 2015, the laid back beach town was just perfect. Love this city. I then tried to find a place to eat. Seafood, right? By the bay, right? I was quickly let down that seafood from the bay and gulf was not the highlight of every seafood menu.

I quickly found that restaurants in the area shipped in frozen fish!!! Crazy. Not looking at you Yardarm, you sweet gem. Paul’s Seafood is amazing. Fresh fish. All from the bay or gulf. Most caught that morning. I read some of the other reviews and they were fun. Bad reviews that the pricing wasn’t clearly marked or consistent (true), overpriced (maybe, but probably not for consumables with a 24-Hr shelf life), too crowded in the shop (true, but duh), and not polite enough service (Direct. May be a better way to describe). When you have a product that is literally losing value by the hour, gotta get it out the door. Awesome place. They taught me about live oysters, grilling, shucking. When they have them they sell them. And sell out. Seafood does not stay. Fun story; before I bought my first bag of 50/50 oysters, not Paul but another guy working there shucked me one and told me I’ve got to try this. Bought a bag and a shucker and was hooked. So awesome. That is customer service. Probably could have had better table manners, but dude just walked off of a boat that AM, he didn’t smell though.
The mythology of Paul’s seafood is real. The place is legit. For fresh fish and seafood, this is it. Beware that you have to take whatever fresh sea creature you buy and cook it to your desire. That includes baby octopus, drum, or redfish (the only fish farm raised due to fishing restrictiosnAwesome place!!! I just bought 5 lbs of crawfish, 12 oysters and 3 lbs of jumbo shrimp and cooked them last night.
Good enough to make Lieutenant Dan beam with pride. Keep it up.

All of the seafood for purchase is fresh and fairly priced. The interior of the market is very clean which is appreciated.
Location is off of SPID and Flour Bluff Dr right by the freeway.
There is a food menu if you want to take to go or stay and sit on the patio. Again it is very fairly priced and has a good variety. There are hush puppies, fried calamari, tacos, po boys, crab cake burger, and seafood boils.
I ordered the fried fish po boy ($10) and it came with fries, hush puppies, and coleslaw. It had a lot of flavor and the portion is generous. Great place and totally worth coming back to!
If your looking for fresh and delicious, Paul's is your place!

During a short visit to Corpus/ Padre/ Port A, my love and I wanted some some casual/ delicious seafood for lunch. His family recommended Paul’s, let us know they had recently picked up fresh seafood from the market, and told us about the delicious looking food they saw being served there.
We got a platter with fried shrimp and oysters, and an oyster Po-Boy. All of the fish, fries, hush puppies, slaw and sauces were to die for, and so fresh! Don’t forget to stop by Paul’s for fresh fish to take home to cook, or delicious cooked meals to eat there or take away. 5 stars!
